Kukla's Korner Hockey

from John Vogl of the Buffalo News,
The players keep saying they need to work harder, then forget to do it. The former all-world goaltender is near the bottom of the NHL in every category. The coach continues to stare at his long injured list.
There is a mix of frustration, anger, disappointment and resignation in Sabreland. It all came out this weekend after an 8-3 loss to Pittsburgh.
“It’s awful playing out there when you do it to yourself in some ways,” right wing Drew Stafford said. “We got outworked. They’re one of the hardest teams on the puck in the league, and they won more battles than us. That’s what it came down to. There’s a lot of frustration that goes with that.”
The Sabres are indeed a frustrated bunch. They’d probably like to think they’ve hit rock bottom, but have they?
