This is really scary. Jiri Fischer comes immediately to mind. Say a prayer for him everyone…

Was watching when this happened.  It really appeared that nothing had happened to Pavelec before he collapsed, at any point in the game.  Just a terribly frightening and nerve-wracking situation.

Play has resumed; there is still no update.  I didn’t see him move once from the time he collapsed and his eyes were shut.  Oh this is so awful. :(  Awful, awful… ugh.

Boy, I hope the positive news is true.  It was troubling just to watch Pavelec lay there unconscious, but I held out hope that the doctors had the situation somewhat under control since they didn’t administer CPR or use a defibrillator on Pavelec.

Thanks for the update Paul.  You never want to see something like that happen.  I hope it’s not too serious.

Release from the Thrashers,

Preliminary tests were negative.  He’s awake and alert at the hospital and asking about the score of the game, but will be kept overnight for observation

Glad to hear he is stable and conscious. But spooky. Now the quest to understand what happened?

The score should uplift him!

I know this is about Pavelec, but Kudos to Chris Msson for fulfilling his role tonight.

Seeing those videos made me feel sick. Happy to hear that he’s awake and alert. I hope whatever ever caused him to collapse was nothing too serious.
