The coaching staff put together activities that force players to think and communicate with each other in smaller groups. Tuesday, the players were divided into five teams. Teams were given eight different tasks to complete — including disc golf, folding sweaters in a specific design and building a 3-D puzzle — within a time frame. Another activity is planned for Friday when the team is in Quebec City.
“We really are just trying to get these guys to work together, find solutions to the different problems ... so communication is the key,’’ assistant coach Dan LaCroix said. “We are trying to make it fun. Guys love the competition and they hate to lose, so we set things up in a way so there is a winner.’‘
