from Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch,
Their offense showed few signs of life on the trip. The club scored eight goals in four games and now is averaging just 2.5 goals per game, which ranks 18th in the NHL.
On the trip, the Blues’ top six forwards combined for just six points (two goals, four assists) and had a collective plus-minus rating of minus-11.
T.J. Oshie didn’t have a point, while Jamie Langenbrunner, Chris Stewart and David Backes had just one each.
They are key members of the Blues’ power-play unit, which continues to drag the bottom.
It was 0 for 16 on the trip and is 0 for 19 since its last goal and sits 28th in the league at one for 24 (4.2 percent) this season.
But more telling than the numbers are the opportunities that are being lost when the Blues are on the man-advantage.
