Backup Goalie Becomes A Pane Of Glass

The short story as sent to me…

In Czech hockey system we have Extraleague, 1st league and 2nd league. In that 2nd league (third higest in Czech republic) there was funny situation. Two minutes to go in the 3rd period of Uherske Hradiste - Havirov game two players broke the glass and nobody at the arena could find another. Visitors from Havirov wanted the play to continue since they were up 3-2. So the No2 goalie Lukas Danecek found a table and stood there for the remaining two minutes.

There are many things about this picture that make me question the validity of this story, but WOW, could you imagine this happening here?
The more I think about this, maybe we could get Gary a stepladder and have him tour NHL arenas fulfilling this very role. He might just find he’s good at something raspberry

^ there’s a brief video of this over at Puck Daddy.

And yes, Gary could definitely be put to better use in most NHL arenas.  The possibilities are really almost endless.
