Any Other Slam-Dunks For The HHOF Besides Sakic?

Joe Sakic, Brendan Shanahan, Mats Sundin and Jeremy Roenick lead the list of first-year eligible players hoping to get the call from the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The Hall will announces its newest inductees on Tuesday. The 2012 class will enter the Hall on Nov. 22.

“Every year now it’s getting real difficult,” Hall of Famer Scotty Bowman, a member of the Hall’s 18-member selection committee, said of choosing the inductees.

Sakic would seem a slam dunk, however.

Hrm. Shanahan is an obvious lock. The other two spots could deservedly go to maybe 4 - 6 other eligible players that all are probably about equal. I would think Andreychuk would have a good shot this year. I know, “era” and all that, but the guy is still in the 600/600 club and was a power play machine.
