With the Blue Jackets out of the playoffs it’s hard to blog when…well there’s not a lot to say and it’s quite boring.
Talks with Manny Malhotra are underway, Howson has made Manny the priority UFA for the Jackets…personally I was thinking Williams first, but again, I’m not the general manager of this hockey club.
Malhotra has been with the Jackets since the 2003-2004 season. He’s a leader on the team and he and his family are comfortable here. Aaron Portzline thinks it will be a three-year deal at about $5 million…but again, you never know with these contracts.
The last month or so, I have had so much on my mind that it’s started to affect my sleep. So, I lay around at night and I tend to think about things that make me happy. Family, friends, you name it, it runs through my mind at some point in the night.
So, last night as I was laying in bed, I came up with a theory.
Don’t forget to watch Day in the Life: Manny Malhotra. It’s on tomorrow at 9 ET, only on the NHL Network. Check out one of the Blue Jackets best players!
Okay after being emotionally drained from that game last night, I think I am alright now to talk about it.
First of all, Leclaire should have been better. Had he been better, we never would have been in the position to get the goal called off in the first place.
Second of all, the fights, were too much. Brassard never should have dropped them, and now we are without him for a month? Wow, that’s a huge blow. Not to mention Boll and Commodore dropping the gloves.
