Chimera to the IR.
Wilson to Syracuse.
Picard up from Syracuse.
Okay after being emotionally drained from that game last night, I think I am alright now to talk about it.
First of all, Leclaire should have been better. Had he been better, we never would have been in the position to get the goal called off in the first place.
Second of all, the fights, were too much. Brassard never should have dropped them, and now we are without him for a month? Wow, that’s a huge blow. Not to mention Boll and Commodore dropping the gloves.
It’s really a sad thing that Fredrik Norrena is leaving and while it certainly isn’t a happy departure for anyone involved, we do need to remember what Norrena did for the hockey club.
Norrena was there when Pascal Leclaire was on constant IR.
Norrena was the FIRST goaltender in franchise history to finish with a better than .500 record.
Norrena has been assigned to Syracuse. It’s sad to see him go out this way, but to be honest, I’m not surprised. His play hasn’t been the same, and you know what he is capable of, but for whatever reason he’s not showing us.
I don’t think he is going to report to Syracuse, more than likely he returns to Europe to play.
Freddy Norrena is on waivers. We will find out at noon tomorrow if he clears waivers.
According to Puck-Rakers Norrena declined to go to Syracuse on a conditioning assignment.
I honestly don’t think he’s going to be claimed, but what do I know?
You may or may not know, that I am also a contributor to HLOG. This month we have a creative challenge on what to get our team for Christmas. It was a lot of fun to write, so I wanted to post it up here also. Who did I miss?
Let’s start with the Jackets captain, Rick Nash. I have to say, I’m going to have to get him shooting lessons. Do you know how many breakaways he has missed this season?
Now for the rest of the boys.
Hey, a win against the Preds, that’s something new and different.
For the second time this season the Blue Jackets beat the Nashville Predators. It was a good win, because, well, any win against the Predators is a good win. There isn’t anything you can say or do to change that. Let’s face it, Jackets fans crave these wins. I crave them because the more they happen, the more I get to taunt my Pred loving cousin.
Apparently I gave Commodore some luck by voting for him as an All-Star, because immediately as I hit submit…he scored. Almost on the power play. However the game isn’t over, so I better not brag too much.
Hey look at that, I can do three in a row, and tomorrow I will go for four in a row.
The Jackets are hosting the Nashville Predators tonight. Let’s just ignore the fact that the Preds have had our number for…well ever.
Did I die?
No, I did not.
Fortunately for me, and unfortunately for you, this is my last week of classes. Meaning, I’m getting ready for finals next week, meaning my posting will be lacking. Because studying, has kept me busier than I ever could have imagined, but, anyway, since you probably don’t care about all of that, let’s talk about the Blue Jackets.
