Oh, The History…Live Blogging The Annual Jersey Retirement In Denver

Oh, this will be a tearjerker for sure.  Thousands of people who never saw Peter Forsberg play an effective minute will jam the Ass Can tonite and pretend they remember what it was like to see a Denver hockey team that mattered.  Thankfully, more than a few of the 19 will be in attendance to remind them of how good he was and how warm it made them feel to see him whine like a little bitch every time the Wings took ownership of him and his little team.

It’s a ruin-yet-another-Denver-evening Live Blog, bitches.

Aloha from the ass can! Saw someone wearing a Bert sweater. Lots of Wing nuts here. Lots of Forsberg stuff everywhere. Vomit. No pregame skate. I’m three rows off the ice. Wings will be skating my way twice. Bring it Wings!

Let’s go Red Wings!

How many numbers are they retiring tonight? 726?

What will they wear now? shapes of triangles, squares, rhombus,  and cubes?

Thanks for the rhombus mention.  Always a good time to recall high school geometry.

When I first read that I thought it said “ball” and I thought “get in line”.

I like the idea of letter-number combinations:

“On defence, wearing A55, Adam Foote!”

“At right wing, wearing B00B, Claude Lemieux!

Don’t know the song, but I got flapping tired of it having Centre Ice for the past couple years.

Someone in the comments mentioned the menu music from “The Big Lebowski,” DVD, but I don’t know since… *cringe* I don’t own it.

<feels shame>
