It Appears Patrick Roy Is Returning To The Quebec Remparts

from the CP at TSN,

The Quebec Remparts have called a news conference on Thursday amid speculation that goaltending great Patrick Roy will return to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League club.

Roy acted as part-owner, coach and general manager of the Remparts from 2005 to 2013, winning a Memorial Cup in 2006. He has been out of hockey since acting as coach and vice-president of hockey operations for the Colorado Avalanche from 2013 to 2016.

Talk of the 52-year-old Roy returning to the Remparts began two weeks ago when Philippe Boucher resigned as coach and GM. Roy has since been spotted at QMJHL playoff games.

But Roy said he does want to coach in the NHL at some point, probably when his younger son, Frederick, leaves junior hockey.

“When Fred is done, it will be different,” Roy said. “But this is OK with me for now.”
