Rielly hunched over while gliding back to the bench and headed straight to the dressing room. Even though he returned for the third period, the Leafs limited his playing time...

Video- Bad Turnover By Morgan Rielly At The Wrong Time

from Kevin McGran of the Toronto Star,

Rielly coughed up the puck in front of Jonathan Bernier, playing his 200th game. Derek Stepan scored the winner with 1:31 remaining.

“I just tried to turn back and it rolled,” Rielly said. “Obviously, they got it.”

Brassard added an empty-netter to seal the win for New York in a game dominated by Toronto.

Rielly apologized for the mistake. Babcock said it was part of the young defenceman’s learning curve.

“He didn’t mean to do it,” Babcock said. “He’s a good player for us. I don’t know what happened. It was one of those situations that we count on him for big minutes and make good decisions and he’s done a lot of good things, he’d like to have that back.”
