Kukla's Korner Hockey
Entries with the tag: contest
We’ve got a $50 gift certificate for IceJerseys.com. If you want to enter into a random draw, we’d love to give it to you.
It’s simple. Do these three things sometime before puck drop for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final (Saturday night, 8pm ET), and we’ll do a random draw for the winner:
- Drop us a ‘like’ on our new Facebook page
- Follow us on Twitter @kuklaskorner
- Tweet out this message so we can enter you in the draw: “I’m entered in the Kukla’s Korner contest for $50 towards some hockey stuff! http://bit.ly/lSeqtC ”
That’s it. Good luck and thanks for entering!
UPDATE: Saturday June 4, 2011, Contest closed. Thanks for all the entries! Winner will be posted by Monday.
Knockout Hockey is a direct advertiser on Kukla’s Korner and will be awarding a copy of their DVD to a lucky KK member.
You will have your choice of Knockout Hockey- The Original or Knockout Hockey- Fights and Brawls.
All you have to do is leave a comment about the best fight you have witnessed or comment about the top fighters in the game. A random drawing of all comments will be held next Tuesday and the winner will be announced that day.
Note: You’ll have to be a KK member (you can sign up here for free) and leave your comment by Monday night, October 27th, by midnight ET.
From Greg Wyshynski at Puck Daddy:
No matter how high the NHL soars, Gary Bettman continues to be a pesky anchor; everything about him conjures ill feelings and painful memories of cancelled seasons and managerial ineptitude. The fact that he receives the blame for all of hockey’s problems (“Bettman invented the Neutral Zone Trap to steal teams from Canada!”) doesn’t help his reputation, either.
The man needs an image makeover. And we’re just the puckheads to give him one.
And it’s a contest! “Gary Bettman: Portraits in Heroism” is accepting your drawings, paintings, photoshops. etc., looking for the best ideas to rehab the Commish’s image.
Note: I’ll put my own submission up here later today. I guarantee you’ll find it incredibly inspiring…
Update 3:02pm ET: Mine is in the comments, as are the far-superior efforts of a couple of readers. Awesome.
Kukla’s Korner has launched a contest today at 99designs.com, inviting our artistic-minded hockey friends from around the internet to design a great new logo for the website
There’s a $200 prize for the best logo and we intend to implement the winning entry into KK’s new website design coming later this summer (with the hard work of Kevin at Venn Communications, I should add).
All the details can be read in the brief. Contest closes in 7 days.
Note: submissions must be submitted via 99designs.com. Please don’t email them to us directly as they will not qualify for the prize.
Last week we put up a last minute contest for THREE gift certificates of $50 (for IceJerseys.com or shop.NHL.com) to be given away in a random draw. To enter the contest, some KK members were brave enough to share their favorite—and/or weirdest—hockey superstitions and rituals. Quite entertaining.
Winners will be contacted by email within 48 hours. They are:
- hippy dave
Thank you to everyone for participating—the entries were great and it was good to be reminded there are other people are as nuts as we are.
Easton Hockey has partnered with Kukla’s Korner to give away hockey equipment to a lucky KK reader.
