Anders Lee-Notre Dame-Sophomore, Center, 6’3”, 218. Lee is a sophomore center who is waiting in the wings for the Isles. Lee is much bigger and stronger than Brock Nelson at this point in their careers. Lee is very physical for a young forward and likes to mix it up a little when he feels it necessary. Lee was drafted in the 6th round, 152nd overall by the Islanders in the 2009 entry draft. Like Brock Nelson the year after, Lee was a 2009 finalist for Mr. Hockey in Minnesota. Lee is a tremendous athlete who played hockey, football, and baseball in high school. Lee had an outstanding freshman season at Notre Dame and only hopes to improve upon his point-per-game pace from last season. In his freshman season, Lee scored 44 points in 44 games played-24G and 20A. Lee was also a +19 with six power play goals and 10 blocked shots to his credit.
