Regehr-to-Buffalo trade completed

Via the CBC’s Tim Wharnsby, the NHL officially announced the details of the trade which has sent Robyn Regehr and Ales Kotalik to Buffalo:
Buffalo gets Regehr, Kotalik and 2012 second-round pick from Calgary for [Chris] Butler and [Paul] Byron.
Update 11:40am: Calgary Flames release -
Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today the acquisition of defenseman Chris Butler and forward Paul Byron from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Flames defensemen Robyn Regehr, forward Ales Kotalik and Calgary’s 2nd round pick in 2012.
Butler, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, spent the last three seasons with the Buffalo Sabres accumulating five goals and 31 assists along with 66 penalty minutes in 155 games. He was originally drafted by Buffalo in the 4th round (96th overall) in the 2005 NHL Draft.

Ruff Talking Big at Sabres Camp

If the Buffalo Sabres are supposed to falter and fall short of once again being a major player in the Eastern Conference, someone forgot to tell head coach Lindy Ruff..
“Our goal here is to win the Stanley Cup,” Ruff told the local media this week. “We might as well talk about that - because I think our team, with the additions we’ve made and where we were at last year, should be able to challenge for it.”
