“He’s a lot of fun. He’s a big kid.  It’s hilarious to think that this superstar is almost like your little brother. He’s a goofy guy that jokes around all the time.

“Obviously, everyone is watching him. Everybody looks up to him, not only the fans, but the players, everyone. He’s the king of this place.”

-Brendan Bell, now playing for Avangard Omsk on Jaromir Jagr.  More on Bell from Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen.

Bell Hopes To Fill Void In Ottawa

from Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun,

Brendan Bell is glad to be home.

“I’m really looking forward to this chance because I really felt there was an opportunity here,” said Bell. “They stressed after the contract negotiations the importance of coming in and really competing for a job because, like everybody is saying, there is some opportunity here.”...

“By no means, am I a Brian Campbell or somebody that they may be looking for, but I feel I may be able to fill that void if I play as well as I can.”
