Afternoon Line- Matt Halman On Anton Khudobin

After Khudobin started the season 2-0-0, some were coming out of the woodwork to compare him, in stature and style, to Tim Thomas. Yeah, maybe he’s Tim Thomas – on acid. Because the way he plays, and especially the way he played against Buffalo, one has to assume Khudobin is seeing three or four pucks out there. And maybe they’re even disguised as white rabbits.

The sprawling and battling, the snow angels, and the rolling and diving outside of the blue paint are all well and good … when they’re done as a reaction to the puck, not in anticipation of a shot that may not come.

-Matt Kalman of CBS Boston on Boston goaltener Anton Khudobin.  More on the game and Khudobin at CBS Boston.

Below, watch the game highlights of Boston's 5-4 loss to Buffalo.

Bruins Rask-less giong into game vs. Vancouver

From NBC Sports Boston's Joe Haggerty:

The string of injuries for the Bruins continues as Tuukka Rask (upper body) is out for tonight’s game against the Vancouver Canucks at TD Garden after getting trucked by Anders Bjork in practice Wednesday.

Rask was wobbly-legged while being helped off the ice after the violent collision and the 21-year-old Bjork looked like he’d also needed a couple of stitches on his chin after bloodying his practice jersey.

The big concern is Rask still being evaluated by Bruins medical personnel for a possible concussion. It will be Anton Khudobin stepping in place for him against the Canucks with Providence Bruins netminder Zane McIntyre serving as his backup.

“Tuukka is out tonight. He’s going to get reevaluated today and we’ll have a better idea tomorrow,” said Bruce Cassidy. “Anton will start [against the Canucks].”

Video- Anton Khudobin’s Mask Changes Colors Depending On The Temperature

from Kevin Dilon of MassLive,

Khudobin got a new mask, and this one is much cooler. Khudobin's new mask changes color when it changes temperature.

The mask uses "subzero" paint, which shifts color with hot and cold water. It also features a glossy bear on the side, with the Bruins' spoked B in the middle of his nickname, "Dobby" on the front.

Anton Khudobin Spending His Summer In Siberia

from Russia-Hockey, RU (translated),

Very much surprised that you were able to find me in Krasnoyarsk - the world champion in 2014 and silver medalist of the World Championship-2015 immediately took the initiative in their hands. - But in fact, this beautiful Siberian city - my second homeland. On the one hand is a graduate of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Magnitogorsk schools. On the other - from Krasnoyarsk my mother, three hundred kilometers in the direction of Irkutsk live other relatives. So I decided, one might say, here to settle down, to build a house. Forest, river, sea, hunting, fishing, Siberian expanses - an amazing place! Paradise!

Many of your fans are hoping that last season would be a breakthrough season. And you're in the "Carolina" is the first number, replacing veteran Cam Ward, who in the spring of 2014, you clearly outplayed. Alas, it turned out ...

I agree with you. Perhaps you can blame himself. But by and large I was not given a full chance to prove himself. The first half of last season was crumpled. Then, the situation has changed - but it was not the normal playing time, mostly sitting in reserve. As they say, it did not grow together.

A recent exchange became a surprise for you?

Yes, they marveled. Exchange - it's always an exchange, it is not fun much. Although generally more pleased.

"Anaheim" - one of the leaders of the NHL in recent years, a constant contender for the Stanley Cup in the "Ducks" can solve the high goals. Plus I really like California. As I say, California - it's not even America, it is a separate state (laughs).

Wisniewski, 31, completed his 10th NHL season in 2014-15, totaling eight goals and 26 assists (34 points) in 69 games with Columbus and Anaheim.
