Zdeno Chara Has An Upper-Body Injury, Undergoing Evaluation

via Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe,

Chara skated off the ice at 4:12 of the first period. It was announced that he had an upper-body injury. Coach Claude Julien did not have an update on Chara’s status immediately after the game, saying only, “He’s going to get evaluated, I guess, closely. We’ll see. Upper body.”

The Bruins could be pretty desperate for a defenseman. I wonder if Holland would consider a trade with a division rival. Smith perhaps? Kindl? They really don’t need to get much in return, just free up the roster spot and a bit of cash.

They won’t take Smith, his bro isn’t there anymore. I think they would possibly bite on Quincey though. But to a division rival? I doubt that will happen. Maybe a threeway trade could be arranged.
