Your Opinion Of The Pegnuins/Islanders Game

351 penalty minutes and 16 fighting majors tells you all you need to know about last night’s Penguins/Islanders game.

Did this game go overboard, will the NHL come down hard with fines and suspensions?

The video below basically is 12 minutes of fights and a post last night on KK has been active with discussion regarding the game.

The Penguins continue today with that old-school feel by practicing in Central Park today at 11:30am.

Not that Franzen play, the other one.

  Nobody saw the Franzen play.

I’ll give you that, but even so: the fact we can remember more dirty/borderline dirty plays from the Penguins than, say, the Predators or Blackhawks, who we face a lot more often, it’s not a good thing.

Fair enough. I thought the comment was a little odd, considering how obvious the punch to Franzen’s head was at the time.

Talbot knew Martin wanted to fight him.  Talbot did his usual ploy, he tried to run away and then he fell to the ice like a girl.  He wanted no part of Martin, just like he wanted no part of Comeau.  He’s a wimp and if he wants to play dirty, then he needs to be man enough to not back down in a fight!!!

RogerNYLA, are you an idiot or were you dropped on your head when you were a kid? Talbot was ATTACKED FROM BEHIND. Remember the Bertuzzi incident? The only difference is that Talbot saw him coming at the last minute and ducked and covered. What would you have done? Taken a hit like the man you think you are? Use your head and look at things without bias, then make an EDUCATED comment, not some asinine remark about a player who, if hit, could have pressed criminal charges.

Nothing against the Preds and Hawks Herm, but the games the Wings and Pens played were much bigger.  Everything that is done in a Finals situation is under the microscope.  Of course every little play should be remembered, it’s the biggest stage in hockey.

I don’t know about other Pens fans, but I’m anxious to see how the team plays tomorrow.  This team has been through a lot the past couple years, but with all the WBS guys there, it will be interesting to see how they bounce back.
