The Blues are an enigma. Their 6-1 start was a tease. They’ve staggered through a 5-8-2 record since the end of January.
The Blues, unable or unwilling to maintain their resolve from start to finish, continue to fade late in games.
Here’s a shocking statistic that tells us all we need to know about the Blues’ faint heart in the heat of competition:
In their eight losses and two ties since Feb.1, the Blues have been outscored 17-0 after the second period.
This is not a typo or factual error.
This is your team.
