Would The Avalanche Trade For An Injured Souray?

via Adrian Dater of All Things Avs,
Do I think the Avs are trying to trade Liles right now? Yes, absolutely. Nobody will go on the record saying that, but a couple conversations around the league I’ve had about his situation lead me to believe the answer is yes. Do I know where he might go? No, not at the moment.
The trade I advocated the other day (Liles and maybe a pick to Edmonton for Sheldon Souray) would appear to be dead in the water now, with Souray out indefinitely with a broken hand. But does it have to be? The fact is, Souray probably would be OK to play by early March or so, give or take a few, and his acquisition would be for a late-season run and, if all goes well, two more years after that.
So, theoretically anyway, such a deal still could happen.
