I was thinking he’d get about 2M, don’t know where people were getting 1.5 for a player, that when he went down in the playoffs the coach couldn’t slot his entire bottom 6 correctly after that.  for a great 3rd line center I dont’ know it’s knee jerk at all.  Imagine if he ever starts finishing, he’ll be an elite 3rd line center.

Seems high to me too.  Helm now has to start finishing, or else in a year or two we’re going to start complaining loudly about that number…

Glad he’s locked up for a number of years though.

Exactly.

I’d be ecstatic if he were a better finisher and I do get frustrated sometimes, but for $2M a year I’ll be happy with 25-30 points a year and his PK ability.
