Will Salvador Wait In Line?

from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,

Defenseman Bryce Salvador would like to remain a Devil, but understands that he’ll have to wait his turn while general manager Lou Lamoreillo figures out what’s going on with captain Zach Parise and goaltender Martin Brodeur.

At the same time, though, Salvador is less than 48 hours away from being able to field offers as an unrestricted free agent.

“I think I’m third in line,” Salvador told me today. “We’ll see what happens with Zach and Marty first. There’s interest from both us and them, but there’s other things they have to figure out first. So, we’ll just kind of see how it plays out. It’s going to be an interesting next couple of days.”

The Devils gave 6 defensemen under contract for next season, and another that is RFA and qualifyed (Fayne). My guess there is no room for him roster wise, so he would be smart to not wait
