from Bruce Garrioch of Off The Posts,
Jonathan Cheechoo will play against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.
This is just stunning and shocking.
Why?
You can’t do better than this?

Me? I ask:
“Ottawa Sun… Bruce Garrioch? Really? You really can’t do better than Bruce Garrioch?

Well played, Primis.
As a Sens fan, I’d rather see them throw Donovan into the lineup than Cheechoo. Donovan has speed and grit and is made for the playoffs.

Agreed on Donovan. He’s another guy that can be tricky to play against.

In their series last year Donovan was one of the best Sens players. For the Senators to keep this a series tonight they need their grinders/checkers to keep doing what they’re doing and contributing on the scoresheet and their big time players (Alfie, Spezza) need to be more noticeable other than getting knocked around.

He’s a former 50-goal scorer and you’re down two games to one.
What’s the worst that happens if he plays? You lose?

I don’t see why you wouldn’t pull out all the stops to try and turn the series around.
But then again, I don’t care if the Sens lose. I’d prefer they win but it won’t affect me much if they don’t.
