Why Not Canada

Until the Penguins’ future in Pittsburgh is resolved, virtually every news story on the subject will round up the usual suspects of where the franchise might move: Kansas City, Mo.; Las Vegas; Oklahoma City; Houston, etc.
But unless it’s Winnipeg, Manitoba—a long shot—Canadian cities aren’t being mentioned and that’s a shame. With so many empty seats in places like Florida, Nashville and Phoenix, the league ought to think hard about establishing another operation in Canada.
