Why Boo Fleury?

from Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette,

There are days I can’t help but feel embarrassed for Pittsburgh sports fans.

This is one.

Not all of the fans, of course.

Those at Mellon Arena who gave Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury a mock cheer Friday night for stopping a puck early in the 2-1 Game 2 win against the Ottawa Senators.

You know who you are.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

i was not at the game, but as far as this article is concerned, take it easy.  MAF has played like crap nearly all season.  The goalie makes 5 million a year.  He needs to make some saves, and he started the second game really bad after a horrible first game.  If anything it looks like the mock cheer worked, doesn’t it?

When you make 5 million a year, you better make sure you are ready to play… or you may get mock cheered.  Normal people in the normal world get fired.  I think MAF can deal.

Ron Cook is a RETARD who doesn’t Understand the Basics of Hockey !!

He said the Big addition to the team at the deadline would be Max Talbot coming back from injury ?? A 4th Line Energy guy is the biggest addition, Now I know the Red Wing fans absolutely despise Mad Max for his 2 goals in the Game 7 win last Seasons SC, But he is nothing more than a Energy Guy/PKer

That’s fine. You don’t need to be a hockey expert to know classless fans when you see and hear them.

In Pittsburgh, all but for a small percentage of diehards, it’s all about ‘what have you done for me lately’; and they don’t look at it from the standpoint of years, but periods. The ‘fans’ in Pittsburgh will leave you in droves if you don’t deliver, especially in hockey, which isn’t much more than a peripheral sport used to pass time between football seasons.

You are a Random ****  MORON,No Bigger ***Holes in sports than Detroit Fans, Don’t even talk about Ron Cook you don’t even have a ****** clue what you’re talking about, He HATES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hockey & wished when Mario was trying To get a New arena in Pgh that the Pens would Leave, He LOVES the Succos & their 17 straight years of Abysmal Play.

When Tom McMillian Pens VP of Press or some such title confronted him about that column & all the Pittsburghers that would be put out of work & restuarants & such that would close or be severely affected Cook who used to work With Tom Back down & fled the scene LIKE THE gutless, spineless, nutless wonder that he is, Tom looks like a Geek size wise & looks wise & cook basically **** himself & beat it

There are still a Bunch of Fans that go to Succos Games, Lets see how"Hocketown” PFFFFT LOL would support the Wings after 17 years of abysmal play

I connect booing with bandwagon fans that are too impatient and ignorant to offer a more supportive reaction. But Pittsburgh fans are not the worst in that discipline.
