Why Craig Leipold Fired Paul Fenton

via Michael Russo tweets,

owner Craig Leipold on why now: “the reason for the termination is not any one big issue. It was over time, smaller issues were building up. It was not a good fit.”

Leipold says it was a realization that the #mnwild were different than what Fenton was fitting into. Says it was a short conversation with Fenton today

Leipold said exit interviews with players showed their was a sense that things weren’t alright.

Leipold said Fenton could scout but it was the other parts of gm job that was a problem: “organizational, strategic, management of people,” running department
