Why Can’t Michael Ryder And Martin Havlat Get In the Devils’ Lineup?

from Rich Chere of NJ.com,

Michael Ryder and Martin Havlat have both been healthy scratches while defenseman Peter Harrold plays right wing. While general manager Lou Lamoriello claims Ryder and Havlat know why they are not playing, the two players feel differently.

Asked if he has talked to both players about why neither has played since the Mar. 2 NHL trade deadline, Lamoriello said: "Let me put it this way: They know and I know. I think that's all I have to tell you. There is no gray area."

That surprised Havlat.

"Really?" he asked with a look of surprise on his face. "That's all I can say."

Has he talked to Lamoriello?

"Nope," Havlat said.

When Ryder was asked why he isn't playing, he said: "I don't know. I don't have any answer for you."

I have felt for the last few years that Lamoriello was a great part of the problem(s) with New Jersey.  If we Red Wings fans think Babcock is stubborn, they need to follow the Devils and this guy.
