Kukla's Korner Hockey

from Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun,
The story of Day 1 will probably be the story of Day 2 and Day 3 of Maple Leafs camp — and every day until there is a clear-cut answer.
Just who will start in goal for the Leafs this season?
And, more importantly, who will win that job and when?
From the outside, this appears to be a classic election between the incumbent James Reimer and the candidate, Jonathan Bernier. It should be first among equals. That’s what it should be.
But from the inside, while no one is saying so directly, Bernier will be given every opportunity not only to start opening night in Montreal, but to carry the load of Leafs goaltending throughout the season.
