When Sorry Cuts It

from Newsday:

Coach Tom Renney was driving home from the Rangers’ 6-4 loss to Ottawa on Thursday when his cell phone rang. He saw the familiar number of NHL senior vice president of hockey operations Colin Campbell on the caller ID.
“I saw the number and I thought, ‘OK, I’ll definitely take this call,’” Renney said Friday.
Campbell, according to Renney, was calling to apologize for a blown call in the third period of the exasperating defeat. The Rangers had battled back from a 5-0 third-period deficit with four goals in a span of 7:10 when officials didn’t award them what could have been a crucial power play with 2:55 left.
