What’s Wrong With The Ducks?

from Curtis Zupke of Ducks Blog,

It was no secret that defense would be an issue for the Ducks. Now we see what can happen when injuries deplete an already shaky group:

In three games the Ducks have been outshot by a combined 145-72.

Offense was supposed to be a strong point for the Ducks. But they’ve only scored two goals, none of which have been by the top line of Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry and Bobby Ryan.

Does the problem start from the top and Coach Randy Carlyle? Are the players just not giving a full effort and commitment to start the season?

Honestly?

The goalie is shaky, the defense is pretty bad, and the forward group isn’t very deep past the top line.

The real question is why are people only wondering this *now*, and now in the offseason when it was clear this was how it was going to be?

I don’t care.  LOL

They lost again tonight to the Blues and I giggled like a little schoolgirl.
