from Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun,
The Jets find themselves in a familiar position as silly season shifts into overdrive, within striking distance of a playoff spot and just three games to play before the 2 p.m. CT deadline on March 5.
But the Jets have got plenty of company in the playoff race, which means the scales currently tip in the direction of teams in selling mode, with asking prices expected to be sky high.
Generally speaking, players who are set to become unrestricted free agents on July 1 make up the majority of those who will be on the move.
It's almost certain the Jets won't be in the market to bring in a rental player.
