What Do You Think Of John Scott?

from Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports,

In the oversimplified court of public opinion, Coyotes forward John Scott carries two labels. He’s a good locker-room guy and he’s a skill-deficient goon.

Scott hates both labels.

“The guys who say I’m just a room guy, I guess I am, but (expletive), I’m a good hockey player, too,” Scott said Thursday after practice. “I’m not just a room guy. I pride myself on being a well-rounded player. I’ve transitioned from just being a two-minutes-a-game and fights guy to now I can easily play 10 minutes and do my role and contribute in other ways.”...

“I used to let it affect me, but I don’t even read the paper any more or look at the news because I know it’s going to be bad,” Scott said. “I’ll score a goal and everyone will make a joke of it. Then I’ll get into a few fights and everyone will be just lambasting me. I’m damned if I do; damned if I don’t.”

No you’re not, you pea-brained, no-talent clown.  You’re a joke.

You have 10 points in 276 career NHL games.  Dating back to your NAHL junior days with the Chicago Freeze, you only managed 12 points in 53 games there.

Even when your team makes the playoffs, they generally scratch you for a REAL player, as witnessed by the times your AHL and NHL careers that your team played in the playoffs but you didn’t get a single shift.

You DID however put up 240 PIM in that NAHL season.  And you *do* have 529 PIM in your 276-game NHL career.  Because PIM’s win games in your deluded little universe I guess?  HockeyDB shows you have never been a Plus player in your recorded hockey life.

You’re 6’8”, 250lbs.  That’s your game, your “redeeming quality”.  You take up space apparently.  And somehow there are enough stupid GM’s out there that have felt that was enough of an asset.  If you were 6’2” with your “skills” and stat lines, you’d be in the LNAH (which is where you probably belong now), except I’m pretty sure thy require even more skating there than you’re capable of.

Go away, shut up, and let the actual hockey players play and talk, you overgrown pylon.
