What Are Season Ticket Holders Doing?

USA TODAY Sports asked season ticketholders whether they would seek a refund of their money for canceled games or would keep their ticket money with the team and earn interest. Here is what some of them said:

Ryan Maloney, Chicago: "We are taking a refund. We pay for a service and they aren't providing it. Plus, owners are getting their TV money and any dent, small, we can provide, I hope this sends a message. Hockey is barely considered a major sport and greed and complete idiocy continues to prevail. It's pathetic, sad, and maddening."

Shaun Younge, Calgary: "As a Calgary Flames season ticketholder I feel very fortunate for the respect shown by ownership towards its fan base. We have already been notified of the 3% interest we will be afforded for any canceled games. In addition, we have also received two other communications of FAQs regarding the negotiation process, and regular team/fan functions continue to take place regardless of the work stoppage....

The comments by “Shaun Younge” read like a corporate press release written by Flames ownership.
