via NHL.com,
Carolina Hurricanes forward Kevin Westgarth will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Tuesday morning for a hit on Ottawa Senators forward Mark Borowiecki on Sunday night at PNC Arena.
At 7:55 of the first period, Westgarth hit Borowiecki along the boards. Borowiecki was helped from the ice and did not return to the game.
Westgarth received a two-minute minor for boarding on the play.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: boarding. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.

I don’t understand why you would check someone, or hit them from behind into the boards while they are GETTING UP off the ice. That was completely noob and dirty. Please suspend that punk.

Mike Babcock doesn’t have a crush on Kevin Westgarth.

Plus I can’t remember the last time he laid a hard check on someone.
The only hard checks I can recall are the one’s he’s laid on the ice when he’s fallen down inexplicably with no one touching him.
