Wesley Get $1.2 Million

from the Carolina Hurricanes,
Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Glen Wesley to a one-year contract. The deal will pay Wesley $1.2 million in 2006-07. “Glen has been a fixture on our blueline for many years and we are thrilled that he is coming back for another season,” said Rutherford. “His leadership and reliability are very valuable to our team.”
