We Salute Those Who Have Served

Memorial Day 2012.
My central air conditioning decided to shut off yesterday and for a few minutes I panicked, knowing the temperature was in the high 80’s and going to the low 90’s on Monday.
But then I came across a picture of a US Marine in full combat gearing, standing in the desert with temps probably hitting 115 degrees. I stopped the pouting and moved on.
I can wait until Wednesday or Thursday to get the air conditioning repaired, while those who serve can’t make a service call to get comfortable. They endure and fight through numerous difficult situations.
On this Memorial Day, let’s remember what these people go through to help make our nation safe.
