You know there are so many ways to get yourself to an NHL camp. You might have been drafted by the team… or traded to them… maybe you signed a contract as a restricted or unrestricted free agent. Adam Huxley was none of the above. He is at Edmonton Oilers camp because he sent them a letter.
Yes a letter… a good old-fashioned pen to paper - or at least fingers to computer way of expressing his wish to go to Oilers camp. He sent it to Kevin Prendergast, the Oilers VP of player personnel, and Prendergast answered the letter with an invite.
