Waiting For Another Chance

from the Columbus Dispatch,
(Tyler) Wright, 33, is an unrestricted free agent, free to sign with any NHL club after the Anaheim Ducks bought out the final year of his contract last month. "I’ve never been in this position before," Wright said. "It’s a waiting-out process, and that’s tough on the nerves a little bit, but I’m confident I’ll get the right deal done. I’m trying to make the most of it, really. It’s motivating me every morning, with my workouts. I’m probably in the best shape of my life." Neither Wright nor his agent, Don Baizley, would discuss which NHL clubs are interested, but the Nashville Predators — the Jackets’ top rival in the Central Division — are high on the list, according to one NHL source.
