Waiting

One more day of a hockey-less world, or is it?

Sure tomorrow everyone gets back to work, including more and more players hitting the ice to get their 'legs' back.  But I would give it a few more days before we start reading about signings or UFA players who plan to attend an NHL training camp to prove they still have it.

I doubt we will see any major trades unless a team cannot find a way to get below the salary cap by making what we would consider small moves.

So I sit here today, playing at casino Unibet hoping for some luck while I wait for the hockey news to start pouring in.

It is too early to even start looking at the favorites to win the Stanley Cup except to say the Chicago Blackhawks should be at the top of the list.  But will they repeat, only time will tell.

After that, you could name 10 teams and not be wrong.  Of course, there are a few teams who on paper don't look like they have a chance to even make the post-season, but we have learned from the recent past, even those teams could surprise us and make a push for the playoffs.

At this point in time, all I want is hockey news to start picking up.  It has been a long summer, one which is about to end and for us hockey fans, that can't be soon enough.
