From Jason Botchford at The White Towel:
An estimated 1,000 Canucks fans have descended on Beantown. But just one problem: There’s nowhere to stay.
Hotels within 15 km of downtown have an occupancy nearing 99 per cent. In other words, everything is sold out.
Where does that leave Vancouver fans? Scrambling.
Vancouver’s Steve Kerr and Brian Trinble scoured craigslist and thought they uncovered a deal. The offer was to stay in an enterprising local’s home. The price tag was $60 for one person a night, or $100 for the pair of them to stay a night. Going in, Kerr and Trinble thought the only problem was the location because it was a few miles out of town in Somerville. They left wishing that was the only issue.
