In obvious pain, Bishop looked "frantic," coach Jon Cooper said, but it sounds like he avoided serious injury. Bishop suffered a cut on the side of his eye, his availability for Sunday's game against the Kings unknown.

"I think he's going to be okay," Cooper said. "Just a little scare."

Top centre Kyle Turris, who has been one of the club’s best players, had to be helped off the ice in the final two minutes of regulation after getting caught up with Islanders’ winger Casey Cizikas. Turris appeared to suffer a right leg injury and didn’t return.

The initial x-rays didn’t indicate there were any broken bones but coach Dave Cameron didn’t have a further update.

“I’m scared to ask,” said Cameron.

Coach Mike Yeo doesn’t think Dubnyk’s injury is serious. He has an MRI scheduled for Sunday.
