Videos- Lucic On Emelin

Milan Lucic had some works for Alexei Emelin post-game regarding this hip-check.

via Mike Boone of Habs Inside/Out,

As has come to be the norm in the NHL, Emelin’s clean hit drew a retaliatory assault from Zdeno Chara. And late in the game, Lucic speared Emelin from behind – a cheap shot described as a “love tap” by the cretinous P.J. Stock, who is ruining L’Antichambre for me.

Of course, Emelin’s refusal to “answer the bell” will be highlighted this Saturday on Coach’s Corner – the more so because bashing a Russian will take Cherry’s increasingly enfeebled mind off the late-season collapse of his beloved Leafs.

This kind of nonsense is what killed fighting in hockey. Lucic is a goon. So is Chara

It’s hilarious to hear Lucic call Emelin out for being a “chicken” after he speared him in the nuts from behind.

Move over Ferry, Crysbaby and Toes. You’ll have to make room for a fourth in the Biggest NHL Whiners Club.

Anyone guilty of “retaliating” (read: instigating) after a clean hit between two other players gets 5 minutes.  This has turned into an absurd parody of a joke, whereupon cleanly and properly separating a player from the puck turns into ten minutes of alternating between crosschecking, shoving, and hugging, then playing Hockey Gear Lost-N-Found©.  *yawn*

People want to increase scoring and speed the game up?  There.  Done.

“Answer the bell”?  GTFOH.  Who’s bell?  Lucic’s?  P.J.Stock’s??  Here’s a revolutionary idea: be a better hockey player, and you might be able to “exact revenge” by “retaliating” with a LEGAL check of your own.

Simpletons.

I have nothing against Boston, but I hope Lucic gets suspended for that spear.  He certainly deserves it.  How lame.

I miss seeing a good old fashioned hip check in the game.
The sad thing is, so few players have ever experienced one they eel that for sure it must be a penalty.
I would by far prefer to see that kind of hit, rather than the flying elbow crap so popular today.
That was a clean hit and nowhere near the knees.

If lucic wants to fight after getting after getting embarrassed , I don’t have a problem with that.

Chara had no business in that matter.

If the league would give out a third man in sort of penalty/ game misconduct as in a fight, that would put a end to the nonsense of a scrum after every clean hit.

Hmm.  Maybe I’ve made someone’s ignore list.

Either way, I’d love to hear some reasons for/against such an idea.

It’s BOS/MTL.  Those two guys have been going at it for years; not as long as DET/CHI, but some feuds just never die.
