Videos- Hometown Hockey Features On Danny Galivan And Al MacInnis

via Hometown Hockey,

Danny Gallivan was not the first hockey broadcaster. That honour belongs to Foster Hewitt. But like Hewitt, Gallivan, who hailed from Sydney, N.S., had paved his own path and legacy as the voice of the Montreal Canadiens in an era that spanned 16 Stanley Cups. Dick Irvin, who joined him for many of those years in the booth, walks us through Gallivan’s legendary career behind the microphone.

Below a feature on Al MacInnis...

Also via Hometown Hockey,

Al MacInnis wears the honour of being the first player born in Nova Scotia to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Born in the small community of Port Hood, the 23 season career could’ve never been if it weren’t for two specific moments in his young hockey life. It was with these hockey moments that led Al off Cape Breton island and into the hockey world. We explore Al’s journey from practicing his slap shot on his family barn to one day becoming one of the greatest defensemen of all-time.
