Crosby annoys me to no end, but I have to admit, that was a pretty respectable showing.

LOL..Niskanen looked like a ragdoll there. Not much of a fight. Both looked like they had visors on so I’m not sure what they were trying to punch there.

Not too bad for a double-visor fight.

Crosby definitely won that one.

It really wasn’t a big deal at all…

Morrow had just forced Letang into a fight, and I mean forced because Letang already has a badly injured right hand, a fight is the last place Letang wanted to be…. So once that finished, Crosby just reciprocated….

I agree though, at least Sid got some nice punches in there….

You know what I dislike about that?  I agree that Crosby got the better of him… but I absolutely HATE when guys get into a fight, and then try to throw the guy down to the ice rather than actually throw punches unless it’s a mismatch like when anyone fights Chara, or when Cleary fought Pronger… that sort of thing…

They both spent too much time in that fight trying to get the other off-balance and just throw them down to the ice.  That’s lame.  In all of that mess, Crosby threw maybe 3 or 4 actual punches, and NIskanen maybe 1 or two.  The rest of the time, they just pulled on each other.

If you watch the second angle of the fight, you can see Crosby starting to take his helmet off, but when Niskanen doesn’t follow, Crosby stops also.

A lot of times most fights look like they’re just trying to throw the guy down, and probably most the time that’s true.  Its also got a lot to do with two guys who don’t fight much, just trying to get free and have a shot to throw a punch.  So its a lot of pushing and pulling.  Sid definitly has the leg strength and balance which is helpful in these type of fights.

Not like they’re going to square up like the big boys anyway.  I wanted to see Engelland grab someone and put a beating on a guy.

Nice catch on the 2nd angle ‘gretzky to lemieux’...

Reminds me of when Sid took his visor off and told Savard he’d have 10mins to fight, after Savard said he doesn’t fight guys with visors.

Crosby is getting better. At least he was aiming for the head above the shoulders this time.

He’s just trying to emulate his hero…the most complete player in the league…Pavel Datsyuk.
