Bruce Garrioch tweets,

Boucher: “Listen, I don’t know anymore. All of us together, we just don’t know anymore. We’ll let them decide and that’s it. Whether it’s our game or somebody else’s game, I guess that’s why I’m not paid for those decisions. I don’t want to think anything. It’s not my job.”

Boucher added on the goal-call: “I don’t want to think anything. It’s not my job. I’ll let them do their job. Personally, I just couldn’t explain it anymore. That’s it.”

Well, let me explain it for you. It’s very simple. Anderson left the crease, pushed into the Vegas player, and then intentionally tripped him with his right leg.

As the old saying goes, “There are none so blind as those who will not see.” So, just open your eyes, Boucher, and you’ll see why the call was made.

Seems like an obvious good goal to me.

Totally agree on the comments.  In football speak, it was defensive pass interface.

The question is, what’s the crease? Because the NHL has showed us through many disallowed goals that the goaltenders are in the crease when they are beyond the blue paint. So in this case, Anderson is still playing his position but beyond the blue paint, but it isn’t considered the crease?

I’m with Guy B on this. The interpretation changes daily.

My suggestion to the NHL would be to increase the size of the blue paint by 4 or 6 inches and bring back the blue paint rule.
