Any ideas on who the three player and one in particular he is referring to?  I have not watched them enough lately to know why they keep loosing.

GTL, Maybe the game story has some details…

Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal,

Justin Schultz, who is being shopped, was minus 3. Unrestricted free-agent Teddy Purcell, who’s had lots of good games but is almost certainly being traded by the Feb. 29 trade deadline, had one of his roughest nights in a long while. Brandon Davidson and farm call-up Jordan Oesterle were fine; McDavid had lots of chances, Zack Kassian hit, Jordan Eberle scored, others tried. But there were far too many passengers against an Ottawa team that needed the points and easily got them.

When asked if any of his players had pulled the parachute against the Senators, McLellan didn’t duck the high, hard question. “I wouldn’t put all of them in that category,” he said, “but some should be embarrassed.”

“I’m concerned about the spirit of our team right now and it’s not going to get easier. Some guys are waiting for something…what that is I don’t know. Maybe it’s new guys coming in or others leaving, but that’s a dangerous, dangerous thing,” he said.

McLellan, in his first year behind the Oilers’ bench, is getting an eyeful, as is GM Peter Chiarelli. Is he worried that his team finds it easier to lose than easier to win games at this time of year?

Yea.  I find it weird though.  Schultz has been rumored to be available so in an effort to maximize return, the coach indirectly calls him out?  That is why I was wondering if it was someone else.  I don’t see Edmonton getting much for him anyway, but this probably didn’t help.

McLellan looks like he’s aged 10 years since San Jose.  The Great Blight North of Edmonton is a tough place.

The Great Blight North Mistercristo ?  How is Edmonton suffering from a symptom that affects plants in response to infection by a pathogenic organism?

Trade some of our “steady” D and a veteran forward for some scoring in eberle. IM down. Maybe Howard wants to play in EDM or Calgary?
