Video- Referee Dan O’Rourke Injured Tonight

Referee Dan O'Rourke left the game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers at Nationwide Arena on Saturday night after being injured in the first period and will not return.

O'Rourke was crunched into the boards by several players early in the game and appeared to have been kicked in the chest by a skate. The Blue Jackets said O'Rourke will not return.

While I never ever wish injury on anyone - zebra or player alike - let this serve as a warning to all zebras to watch where they’re going, and stay out of the play.

Not to nit pick, but ONE guy skid into him and add he went down, the leg of the ONE guy who slid into him came up and got him in the chest. Whoever with that little article for nhl.com has issues figuring out what he sees. Maybe the guy is an nhl ref.
