TBL’s playing like a team on a mission.  They are laser focused.

May as well just give tb the cup. Dallas and Vegas aren’t going to compete or keep up.

Let’s let them get thru Game 5 first!!!!  smile

The Isles are not about to give up without a fight.

That said - Tampa has a few things no one has -

First off -they don’t have Stamkos - but neither do the Isles

We don’t have Hedman - who reminds me of being a dominant D man like Chara or Drew Doughty that the Isles don’t have

We don’t have Braden Point.  He is outplaying Mat Barzal - but Barzal does not have Palat or Kucherov on his wing

We don’t have Kucherov - who is showing the world he is at the top of his game.  So impressive!

We don’t have # 88

HELLUVA team.

But I would bet the Isles show up and play better tomorrow.  Could be a great game for all - no matter who wins

I hear ya, Kas.  If there is a coach who can pull an upset, I really think it’s Trotz.

Go Isles.

By the by, IF it is TBL vs DAL in the SCFs, Kucherov vs. Radulov should make it an interesting Finas.

Hindsight is always 20-20, but I took a look at the 2011 draft where Kucherov went at #58. In that draft, the Isles took Ryan Strome with the #5 pick (then ended up trading him in 2017 for Eberle). They also took Scott Mayfield with their #34 pick (and I guess he’s been okay with the Isles). But neither are at Kucherov’s level.

At least the Isles didn’t waste their picks like the Wings did that year. Instead of getting Kucherov at #58, they took Tomas Jurco at #35, Xavier Ouellet at #48, and Ryan Sproul at #55. In fact, the Wigs missed on every pick they made that year (with the possible exception of Ouellet and maybe Alexey Marchenko at #205).

What a haul the Wings got!!!! Thank you for the depressing reminder. wink

If Dallas and TB make it to the finals i would not over look Dallas. They seem to be able to play the other teams game and use it against them. As much as I do not like some players on that team, i am enjoying how well they are coached. TB has higher end talent and are finally very balanced but Dallas has a will and edge of their own.

Maybe it ends up Isles and Vegas?
