John Scott of the Buffalo Sabres had a little run-in with Milan Lucic before Zdeno Chara stepped in.

Jack Edwards proves once again he is a strong contender for the designation as perhaps the worst announcer in all of professional sports.

It just shows you how big of a chicken Lucic is that he can’t stand up for himself.

He can defend himself fine, but what does Lucic or the team gain by fighting Scott?

I agree that Scott is a useless hockey player, but its Lucic who engages Scott first, so he gets whatever he gets.  Maybe Lucic needs to be a little (or a lot) smarter.

Lucic does not “engage” him. Scott completely ignores the puck and the play and skates straight at Lucic. Lucic is just reacting to the huge goon coming after him. Good on Chara for stepping in right away.

Fighting isn’t bad for hockey. John Scott is bad for hockey.

I normally hate Jack Edwards but kudos to him for being honest about what a waste of oxygen John Scott is.  Sure, it’s hypocritical coming from a guy who is a huge mark for his own thug team, but that doesn’t make it incorrect.
