Video- It’s Got To Be Be In, The James van Riemsdyk Shootout Goal

You decide, did the puck cross the line.  The Leafs did win in the shootout.

While the puck can’t be clearly seen over the line, it obviously is. Ninety-five percent of Smith’s body was over the line, which means the puck was, too. It’s the same when a goalie makes a glove save, but the glove goes over the line. If the puck crosses the goal line, it’s a goal.

That was pretty unsportsmanlike of Smith. That’s a goal.

Anyone else tired of Smith’s crap?

He’s perfected the swan dive, and now he does this…

If it was just Smith (although he tends to do it more) that did this type of thing, maybe, but all goalies do it, including myself in adult league games. The refs hands are tied, it isn’t a goal unless they can see it go across the line. What I’d like to see them do or create a rule is that the goalie must stand up in the position the were in instead of doing that slide job they all do to bring the puck outside the goal.
